Our story

History of PMM

Pastor Balan Padayachee’s journey is a remarkable testament to faith and dedication. Born on December 1, 1956, in Pietermaritzburg, South Africa, he hails from a devout Hindu family. However, at the age of 18, his life took a transformative turn when he embraced the Lord Jesus Christ, who not only became his Saviour but also healed him from rheumatism.

On February 25, 1978, Pastor Balan crossed paths with Morga, and their union in holy matrimony blossomed. This sacred union blessed them with three wonderful sons: Josiah, Jeremiah, and Jude.

The path to becoming a pastor was not a straightforward one for Pastor Balan. After working diligently at his job for over a decade, he faced a pivotal moment in his life. On June 30, 1984, he made the profound decision to answer the call of God upon his life. This decision came with its share of challenges, as he had a loving wife who was a dedicated stay-at-home mom, and two young children to care for. The church he embarked upon leading was small, and there was no regular income to rely on. However, Pastor Balan’s unwavering faith in God proved to be the guiding light.

From the very beginning, God’s faithfulness shone brightly, providing for every need, despite the obstacles. Today, as we stand in 2023, Pastor Balan can humbly and gratefully acknowledge that he has achieved a significant milestone of 39 years in full-time ministry. This remarkable journey, marked by selfless dedication and divine grace, serves as an inspiration to all who cross his path.
